Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water.
Jack fell down and broke his crown,
And Jill came tumbling after.

“Jack and Jill” (sometimes “Jack and Gill“, particularly in earlier versions) is a traditional English nursery rhyme. he rhyme dates back at least to the 18th century and exists with different numbers of verses each with a number of variations.
