I put my socks in pairs, so neat,
Both left and right on my two feet.
But every time they take a ride,
One disappears! Where does it hide?

I searched the washer, checked the floor,
Peeked behind the closet door.
I found a sock stuck in a shoe,
But where its twin is—I’ve no clue!

I asked my cat, I asked my dad,
I even asked my brother (bad idea… he just laughed).
Someday I’ll solve this mystery,
But for now… mismatched socks for me!
