They held my hand when I was small,
And caught me fast when I would fall.
They taught me right, they showed me wrong,
Their love a guide, so pure, so strong.

They work so hard, they give their best,
They barely stop to take a rest.
Through ups and downs, through thick and thin,
They cheer me on so I can win.

Their words may sometimes sound so tough,
But deep inside, it’s all enough.
Enough to teach, enough to guide,
Enough to keep me strong inside.

So when they speak, I’ll stop and hear,
Their wisdom whispered loud and clear.
A “thank you” here, a “please” said there,
A little help to show I care.

Respect is more than what we say,
It’s what we do from day to day.
A listening ear, a helping hand,
A love that helps me understand.

So here I stand, with heart so true,
Dear Mom, dear Dad—I honor you.
