I started so tall, my tip nice and neat,
Ready for notes, a great spelling feat!
I scribbled, I doodled, I wrote with such pride,
But with each passing day, I grew shorter in size!

Math facts, essays, and spelling tests too,
My eraser worked hard, fixing a few.
Now I’m quite small—just a stub in the tray,
But oh, what a journey—I wrote every day!
