Swap & Spell

Swap and Spell combines vocabulary skills with tactical decision-making. Players must not only create words but also decide which cards to replace in order to make the game easier for themselves and more challenging for their opponents.

How to Play

1. Each player receives a stack of Word Onyx Cards.
2. The first player places two cards on the table.
3. The opponent forms one valid word.
4. The word is scored using the Word Onyx letter values.
5. The opponent then removes one of the two cards on the table.
6. The opponent replaces it with a card from their own stack.
7. The replacement should create a more difficult challenge for the next player.
8. The next player forms a word from the new card combination.
9. Scores are recorded after every turn.
10. Used cards are removed from play and kept aside.
11. The game continues until all cards have been used.
12. The player with the highest total score wins.
