How to Write Good Dialogue
Dialogue is what your characters say.
Instead of:
Amara was angry and told Daniel that he should leave.
Try:
“Leave!” Amara shouted. “You knew about this and you didn’t tell me?”
Dialogue makes a story feel alive.
Remember:
People don’t always speak perfectly.
They ask questions.
They interrupt.
They laugh.
They become angry.
They whisper.
They hesitate.
Use dialogue to show personality and emotion.
